How To Create Your Own Website For Free With Wix

In This Article, I'm Going To Show You How To Create A Free Wix Website In Just 5 Minutes.

Creating a website is essential for any business looking to succeed.

It's the Homebase, where people come looking when they run into your business for the first time and afterward.

It makes your business look professional and legit.

But for someone without any technical skills who has never built a website before or maybe tried and just gave up because it was too complicated, it might be a daunting task.

Paying someone to set up a website for you is a costly option.

Well, what if I tell you that there is a website builder that lets you build a professional website without any tech skills whatsoever in 5 minutes, for FREE?

Now before you say it's too good to be true, let me be clear about something... The free version is free FOREVER but it includes ads and does not include a custom domain.

But nonetheless, you can figure things out, see if it fits your needs and then upgrade to a premium plan to get all the necessary features for a professional website.

That tool is called Wix which is the second largest website builder on the market right now and growing FAST!

The main reasons being: its user-friendly interface, affordable plans, and advanced functionalities.

Ok, enough blabbering, let's get to business ;)

Step 1

The first thing you need to do is go to Wix's website and create a free account.

Step 2

Start creating a new site by clicking on "Create a New Site" and then selecting the kind of website you want to create.

Step 3

Choose between creating a website with Wix's ADI or Wix's editor:

  • Wix ADI - If you select that option, Wix will ask you a few questions and will design a website according to your answers. This is great if you're really in a hurry and just want a done-for-you website. You get less customization than the editor but Wix does a pretty good job of making your site look pretty good (at least in my opinion) and organizing everything into place. You can always switch to the Wix editor if you want more customization.

  • Wix Editor - If you select this option, Wix will present you with a few templates you can use or just a blank website. This option gives you more customization over your website when compared to the ADI. If you do select a template than what will be left for you to do is add your own text and maybe swap some colors and images here and there to fit your style. You can always add things and customize it further later on but you can have a ready to roll website in minutes.

Important Note: you can switch from the ADI to the Editor at any time, but if you add things in the editor or you selected editor in the first place, you won't be able to revert to the ADI.

None of these options require any coding or technical skills.

The ADI does most of the work for you and the Editor is simply a drag 'n' drop website builder.
