How To Change Your Limiting Beliefs For More Success

Updated: Nov 24, 2019

Many of us feel like we can't make it into the big leagues.

That we can't get a robust body.

That we can't build a multi-million business.

That we can't attract the perfect someone.

That we can't create the dream reality that we want, because it's just a dream and it's too damn hard to achieve it, or even impossible.

Well... let me tell you, that's only the story you're telling yourself.

You can absolutely achieve your dream reality if you change your story and your beliefs.

And the way you do that is by conditioning your environment and your mind to that new story you truly want as your life.

How can you do that?

First, let me tell where my story of self-development has started and then I'll show you how you can implement it into your own life even if you walked a different path then me.

My story is not something I planned, it just happened to me, and I observed the change that was happening inside of me.

Enlisting in the military

It started with me enlisting in the military as a combatant.

As a rookie, you still own the beliefs you have from before you enlisted, but the military knows exactly how to get your full potential out of you.

They are truly masters of psychology.

So the military is known to be a tough and disciplined place.

You are given no quota and no discount.

You are just like everybody else in your unit and are expected to perform at your best, because if you don't then there are consequences to it.

I'm not only talking about punishment but also about the safety of your colleges and the success of the operation.

So, as a rookie we trained very hard, being active all day running, shooting, exercising, in the sun at a 40 degrees Celsius with heavy equipment and after getting 5 hours of sleep each night.

I remember the first time I discovered that what I thought was my limits was actually a story I've been telling myself.

It was when we started doing long marches with heavy equipment after being active all day.

The army does it gradually and in my case, it started from a 3 km march to 6 then 9 then 15 and so on...

As we started our first march of 3 km my body was exhausted after the hard day and I didn't believe I could really finish those 3 km with all that equipment and the rough terrain.

But my commander wouldn't let me stop and also my colleges were on the same boat as I was, and they were not stopping!

So, I didn't stop either.

And even though I thought I can't do it, I did.

And then I completed the 6km march a week later, then the 9 km, then 30 km and so on.

I noticed that what I thought was my limit turned out to be far from it.

And what I've learned from this experience and what you can mimic to your life, even if you're not in the military, is creating the right environment to succeed.

If I was alone with no one to push me and no colleges to support me as well as I them, I wouldn't have made it.

So I encourage you to use coaches which will be like the commanders for me and surround yourself with like-minded people who have the same goals as you do.

So, for example, if you want to build an online business, hire business mentors and coaches and join forums and masterminds of people who also want to build an online business.

Your mentors will push you and your colleges will support you and help hold you accountable.

And you'll find that your limits stretch a lot further then they would have if you were to build an online business all by yourself.

And this applies to any other goal you might have!

Another thing you can do

Another thing that has helped me empower my beliefs and be more productive and mentally strong is creating the right morning routine.

Because usually, the way you start your day is the way you will end it.

So, if you start your day stressed and reactive, that's how your day will look.

So I condition my morning to be proactive and create empowering rituals that make my day amazing.

I've created a video about it and also an article you can read to further learn about morning rituals.

To summarize:

  • Create a supportive environment to push you and support you (coaches and like-minded communities).

  • Create an empowering morning ritual.

I hope you found value in this article!
